We are so excited to present to you our 2009, 11th annual Happiness Is Scrapbooking Educational
Scrapbooking Seminar this weekend. These are your finial instructions. Please note: We will not be mailing
this notice to anyone so if you have friends or family who are attending please get this information to them.
Since some class products are still coming in you need to watch your email for any changes. Please check it
before you leave home!
Seminar time: Friday’s crop will officially start at 5:00 p.m. with a make n’ take projects, photo scanning and
prep for Saturday classes. We do plan to be there earlier setting up. This crop is open to anyone. It is FREE
if you are attending Seminar and $10 for anyone else. You may crop until 10:00 when the building will be
locked up. You must bring anything you will need in the way of tools and supplies for the crop. There will be
no food served but there are places close by. You are welcome to bring food in to eat. Please bring your
own drinks and snacks for both the crop and Seminar. There are pop machines in the building. Wear you P.
J’s if you wish!
Seminar will start at 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning. Doors will open at 8:30.
Lunch break at 12:30 (no meal served, you may bring a sack lunch or go out). Classes will resume at 1:15
and end at 5:00 p.m. Prizes will be given throughout the two days and will be given out as the committee
sees fit. If you win something you don’t like or won’t use you may decline it and your ticket will go back in the
basket. There will be a grand prize given at 5:00 as seminar ends. YOU MUST BE THERE TO WIN. There
will be tickets sold @ $1.00 each to increase your chance to win the major prizes. They are optional.
Classes – We have worked hard to bring you some good classes and products to experience. We do
however know that it is impossible to make everyone happy. If there is a class you do not care for, YOU are
welcome to just work on your own pages. We do however, ask you to not visit or do anything to disturb the
classes.
Supplies to bring to Seminar: Print a copy from Supply List page.
This is important: Most of our classes will be taught using power point therefore, we will not be handing out
printed instructions. If you feel that you need them, they will be available on our website www.
happinessisscrapbooking.com by Thursday night. You are welcome to print your own copy and bring with
you. Check the list for the photo’s you need to bring or you can add them when you return home.
Directions to MOTEL 6 and The Roy HILLSIDE SENIOR CENTER, 5051 South 2000 West, Roy Utah.
The phone # for Motel 6 is 801-627-2880. For the $39 discount you will need ID for Sr Citizen :o)
Coming from the North… Take EXIT # 340- (This will be the Cheyenne East 84 Exit). Then take EXIT #81.
Stay in the Right Hand lane. At the light (this will be Riverdale Road) Turn Right and stay in Right hand Lane
to the Next light Turn Right from here follow the signs to the Motel 6. You will go just a short distance the
Motel will be to the left. It is well marked and you should have no problems.
Then to get to the Roy Hillside Senior Center go back to the light where you turned to go to the Motel,
This will be Riverdale Road. Turn Right at the light you will be headed West towards Roy. Stay in the Right
hand land, but not far right. This light will be 1900 West, you will see Burger Bar, go through the light past
Burger bar. *The next street will be 2000 West (stop Sign) turn right, you should now be on 2000 west going
north. Stay on 2000 west till you see the sign for the Roy Hillside Senior Center. Just past the sign you will
turn right into the parking lot of the Senior Center. The Roy Fire Station will be directly in front of you and
the Sr. Center will be to your right
Coming from the South….. Take the Roy Exit then go north on 1900 W (the main road) to 5300 S Turn left
at the Burger Bar and follow the directions above starting at the red Star
Digital Scrapbooking: Digital scrapbooking is the hottest thing going. Joyce will be sharing this with the
group. We ask that you watch the demo with a positive attitude and give it a try. Joyce is gifting each
attendee a FREE basic membership to Heritage Makers. So that you better understand the demo, she
would love to set up your account before Saturday. Please call or email her ASAP so she can get your
FREE lifetime account set up. If you have samples of digital scrapbooking you have done bring it to share.
Be a good neighbor by being quiet and by keeping your attention on the classes being taught so that the
teachers can be heard. Place those things that you are not using under the table, to your side, or in your
car. Please don't take up more than your share of the table space and keep the isles clear for the teachers
to move around freely.
Do not place drinks on the table. We don't want to damage anyone's priceless work. Only mugs in cup
holders attached to the tables will be allowed. All other drinks must be covered with a tight lid and placed on
the floor out of the way.
Children: As much as we love our little ones and yours, (they are the reason we scrapbook), no children
are allowed either Friday or Saturday. This includes nursing babies. This Seminar is a weekend away from
the children for many who are attending and they don't want to hear a crying child or deal with them getting
into things! A child over the age of 10 may attend as a regular paying attendee but must be registered
before Saturday.
Cell Phones: Please turn your cell phones off when in the room. Arrange to handle phone calls during
breaks or lunch. Inform your family that you will not be taking calls during seminar hours.

Scrapbooking. They were all willing to provide products and samples for the classes being taught. They
have provided wonderful door prizes, samples and goodies. It is our honor to spotlight them during this
seminar. Their donations along with the products Happiness Is Scrapbooking has purchased, we hope,
when you total up the value, will be far greater than the seminar fee you paid. Please appreciate what you

name and ask that they stock their products! In addition, we request that you send Joyce a simple email
stating what you won along with a thank you which we will forward to the person who we worked with to get
these donations.
Booths: Vendors are here to serve you by displaying and selling their products. They have planned free
make'n take projects for you. Please take time to see what they have. Please, might we make a suggestion?
Instead of spending your money at outside stores on your way to and from our Seminar, please consider
shopping with our vendors to show your support to them. They all plan to have some very good “Seminar
Specials” for you. Please pay them directly. Special orders will be handled by the Vendor. They will be
responsible for anything you might order, not us. There will be a Good deals sale table with some fantastic
prices so grab it while you can. Have change or check available to pay with.
